New car sales for 2011 totaled 12.6 million at the end of October, but that number had jumped to 13.5 million just one month later. Americans had been holding back on that big purchase long enough and Chrysler car dealers, especially, stayed busy keeping up with the demand.

Chrysler Group LLC made up made the biggest gains of any car maker in November. The American auto manufacturer showed an increase of 45% over November 2010 sales and ended the month with their highest monthly sales increase for the year. It is likely that the 496% increase in sales of the Chrysler 200 had some influence on those numbers. The Chrysler 200 was introduced in 2011 as an overhauled and revamped replacement for the Chrysler Sebring.
