Perth Dentist achieves national recognition

Dec. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- The very first Dentistry Scotland Awards were held in the prestigious location of Gleneagles Hotel on Friday evening. Dentists and their teams from all across Scotland attended the event hosted by Findlayson Media and Communications – a London based dental publishing company who’s owner, Ken Finlayson is originally from Dunblane and so he, felt passionate about holding Scotland’s first Awards in Perthshire.
The winner of the Outstanding Individual was Perth’s own Dr Elaine Halley. The judges were looking for an individual who deserved recognition for the valuable contribution they have made in dentistry and Elaine was nominated by her team.

Elaine started Cherrybank Dental Spa in Perth from a former B&B in 1995 at the age of 26. Since then, she has grown both her business and her profile within the profession, devoting many hours to help the wider dental community  and also the local business community in terms of giving her time and expertise, but also encouraging many others to fulfil their potentials along the way.

In 2010, now a mother of 3 and married to a Perthshire farmer, she made the bold move of opening a brand new spa practice in Edinburgh. She is also well known within her profession for her work in forming the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to education and raising the bar and setting the standards for excellence in all aspects of cosmetic dentistry.

Cherrybank Dental Spa is an award-winning practice with many accolades from both within dentistry and the local business community. Under Elaine’s leadership, Cherrybank Dental Spa has achieved Investors in People for both the Edinburgh and Perth practices, are members of the Good Practice Guide and recently won the Chambers of Commerce Business Star Award for Excellence in Customer Service (2010).
