The qualifying rounds of Umniah’s 5th Karting Tournament have been launched on the twenty-first of November 2012, and continued until the twenty-third of the same month. During the concluding event; thirty players out of 130 players have been shortlisted to participate in the final race, after achieving the highest scores at the end of each day and for the duration of the tournament.
Regarding the tournament; Umniah’s Corporate and Marketing Communications Manager, Rania Abu Khader Salfiti said: "Umniah’s Karting Tournament is a social project that seeks to encourage young Jordanians to compete in an entertaining and enthusiastic atmosphere. Umniah’s belonging to sports and the youth segment is a strong commitment and we are glad to engage with the participants which was followed by the distribution of valuable prizes.”.”
Salfiti Added: "We look forward to establishing a wider championship, and would like to thank “Jordon Speed Center” for hosting the tournament and" BCI " for the awards that have been given”, and she pointed out that the tournament has become an annual tradition which Umniah team will be waiting for. It is an interesting opportunity for us to break the work routine and to interact with Jordanian players and athletes.”
At the end of the tournament, the top three winners were honored; and Umniah’s Corporate and Marketing Communications Manager Salfiti awarded the first prize winner with a Galaxy Note 2, the second place winner with a Galax S3 device, while the third place winner received a Galaxy S2 device in addition to receiving emblems and medals.
