The Glenlivet Master Distiller’s Reserve Exclusively Launched at Delhi Duty Free

Dec. 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Adding yet another feather to its cap, Delhi Duty Free, India’s largest duty free shops at Terminal 3, IGI Airport, has exclusively launched the Glenlivet Master Distiller’s Reserve. Being launched exclusively in the travel retail format in DDF, the rare ‘cellar collection bottle’ is created by Mr. Alan Winchester who is the third Master Distiller at the Glenlivet Distiller and succeeds the now retired Mr. Jim Cryle.

Inspired by Glenlivet founder, George Smith’s original vision, and the continuation of the definitive and classic style of the Glenlivet; this expression has added complexity and richness from maturation in three different woods – Traditional Oak, which allows the intrinsic character of the Glenlivet to shine through with ripe fruit pear and gentle summer floral notes; American Oak that add creamy notes of coconut, soft fudge and vanilla; and Ex-Sherry Oak that contributes with dried fruit, orange marmalade and spice aromas with sweetness of dark chocolate to the taste.

Tasting notes
The Glenlivet Master Distiller’s Reserve has a unique flavour profile within the Glenlivet range.

Colour: Bright and lively gold

Nose: Full and bursting with ripe fruity pear and soft fudge flavours incredibly sweet and smooth

Palate: Fruity pear flavours with a spicy orange marmalade tang. Slightly dry

Finish: Marzipan and fresh hazelnuts

The Glenlivet Master Distiller’s Reserve 100 CL will be exclusively available at Delhi Duty Free for $45.
