For the holidays, Stella's is hosting a "Handmade Holiday Market" highlighting gifts by local artisans that range from the practical to the whimsical and everywhere in between.
Owner Mickie Cooles leads a variety of local women entrepreneurs and artists in presenting funky, modern, classic and vintage looks for women and children year-round, and is expanding Stella's offerings for a long weekend to include handmade gifts by invited guest artists that will be the talk of the tree this Christmas.
Her band of merry women include a mother of two offering hand knit apparel, a savvy artist with "trash to treasures," one of a kind creations, and other entrepreneurial artists with an eye for detail and design. At the same time there will also be a jewelry show featuring Stella's in-house jewelry artists.
"We are fortunate in Fort Worth to have access to an amazing variety of beautiful gifts produced by talented women in our own backyards," said Cooles. "You can come into Stella's and find the perfect gift for most everyone on your list, keep your dollars local, support women entrepreneurs, and not break the bank all at once. It's a pleasure, as a boutique owner, to participate in our community in this way."
The event, Handmade Holiday Market, will open on Thursday, December 8 at Stella's monthly Girls Night Out, and will run through Sunday December 11 (Special Sunday holiday hours, 1-5 pm).
Stella's is located at 3460 Bluebonnet Circle, Fort Worth, TX 76109, at the end of University drive, south of Texas Christian University. For more information call Stella's at 817-923-1520 or visit http://www.stellasboutique.com/
