PRLog - Dec. 5, 2011 - LOS ANGELES -- Phil Jones' music promotes positive change, love, religious tolerance, racial equality, peace and personal evolution. Phil’s ultimate goal is to change the world into a better place, and he sees no better tool for this purpose than the power of song.
The mellow grooves of Phil’s music and the peaceful yearning for a better world expressed by his lyrics are reminiscent of Jack Johnson, while his deep, gritty voice and penetrating wisdom evoke the work of Leonard Cohen. In their Moby-esque, electronic-tinged acoustic prowl and mystical whimsy songs like “The Perfect Wave” and “The Golden Race” suggest a 21st century revamp of Mr. Cohen’s seminal album, “The Future.” But such a comparison only gives a small hint at the dynamic sound on Raise Up, Phil Jones’ forthcoming LP.
He will be releasing one song off the LP, Raise Up, a month with an accompanying video - the first one being released is "The Perfect Wave". Check out the groovy video, featuring pro-surfer Evan Valiere in Kauai, Hawaii. http://www.youtube.com/
