Rotary Club Beirut Cedars Fundraising event for No To Drugs in Lebanon

Dec. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- In the aim of creating awareness about the dangers of drugs Rotary Club Beirut Cedars launched its 2011-2012 fundraising Lottery event. The draw for a 2011 Chevrolet Aveo took place at Farra Design Center Mkalles and the lucky winner was Mr. Jad Abi Rizk.
With this year’s motto “NO TO DRUGS”, the Rotary Club Beirut Cedars is organizing a campaign to help spread awareness among the Lebanese youth about the devastating effects of drugs. The campaign includes:
1.   Lectures at schools and universities emphasizing the bad effects of drugs, and how to be aware and vigilant as not to fall victim of the drug dealers.
2.   A drawing competition in participation with Fabriano with more than 100,000 students participating from different schools of Lebanon. “NO TO DRUGS” is one of the themes the children will have to choose from.
Rotary Club Beirut Cedars, now embarking on its second year since its inception, has accomplished more than 130,000 USD worth of projects within its first year.
