HighPoint Church Adopts an Apartment Complex this Christmas

Dec. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- WHAT: HighPoint Church in Covington, Washington is not just lighting Christmas trees or fireplaces this Christmas, but is lighting the world of people in the community by giving the gift of hope and life. Since the church began 4 years ago, HighPoint has featured a Light Your World weekend in December. Each year, the church adopts 15-20 single parent homes for the holidays and after obtaining wish lists from each family, provides them with holiday food and gifts. This year, HighPoint is taking their adoption program to another level, by adopting La Mirage apartments, an apartment complex on the Kent East Hill which houses many immigrants and lower income residents. In addition, the church and its members, while giving hope to 15-20 families, will be giving life by hosting a Mobile Blood Bank on site after their Light Your World service.  

WHO: This annual Seattle event is open to people of all ages and is hosted and sponsored by HighPoint Church (www.thehpchurch.com)

WHEN: Light Your World service begins at 10:30 AM, with the blood drive beginning at 11:30 AM on Sunday, December 18, 2011
