KB Racking, which has been successful with its flagship models, the AeroRack 100 and 200, and BarnRack is now leveraging its intuitive German-Canadian design team and releasing the EkonoRack 210. The unique non-penetrating design is very easy to install and will not damage the roof with penetrations or fasteners.
“After extensive and rigorous product testing, we are pleased to commence production on our new line.” said Peter Aulich, Chief Operating Officer of KB Racking, “I can proudly say: The EkonoRack is the easiest and most economic ballast-weighted system currently on the market”.
The EkonoRack is comprised of two simple components: The “feet” with built-in supports that are simply placed on directly on the rooftop and its self-fastening clamps. The solar modules are placed directly on top and secured into place with clamps. The installation takes three easy steps. The whole system is secured to the roof using a self-ballasted system coupled with additional ballast provided from paving stones. The additional ballast amounts vary by project and are calculated by KB Racking’s in-house engineers. The system is available in various angles depending on customer specifications.
The EkonoRack mounting system will be first available at CanSIA’s Solar Canada 2011 Conference & Exposition running on December 5th and 6th at the Metro Toronto Convention Center in Toronto Ontario.
