Born July 4, 1908, Mildred Mumford was the eldest of three daughters raised in a Christian home. Her and her husband had one child named Marilyn and went on to become foster parents to fulfill their dream of a large family. After facing cancer, Mildred had a renewed zest for life which inspired her to write a collection of stories and poems for children. Her gift with words and her analytical thinking make her stories easy and fun to read. Mildred’s personal response to life lives on in her written memories.
