Dec. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- "A Different Twilight" is a new online blog that features a both generous and scathing review of the Twilight Saga storyline; including the last installment of the story, Breaking Dawn. The first post by the founder - a fan who discovered Twilight after the movies began - explains the dysfunctional ending of the story as being an old sexual fantasy of the author's that was probably rehashed in ignorance, and then sold as an innocent fairytale for adolescent girls.

Poignant points include a casual history of Traditional Vampire Lore that most people are familiar with; why the author of the Twilight Saga, Stephanie Meyer, probably didn't research Vampires before writing a love story about them; why the character of Edward Cullen is such a draw for women of all ages; and why the ending - specifically, the birth of a Vampire-Human hybrid baby - is forced into an unbelievable storyline about Vampires where it doesn't make sense to most casual movie-goers.

The Twilight Saga ending takes a considerable hit; as do the author and Summit Entertainment, the movie studio responsible for creating the Twilight Saga Movie Franchise.

A Different Twilight Blog also goes on to describe the founder's fall into the Twilight Movie franchise obsession; providing an enlightening review of each of the first three Twilight movies - Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse - from a "NON-book" Twilight fan perspective.

The author situates the bulk of the blame of the disappointing ending of the final installment of the movies, "Breaking Dawn", on Summit Entertainment studio executives and producers of the movies - for their lack of knowledge and/or integrity in creating these addictive films for the masses; and releasing them with a dysfunctional ending that has emblazoned the minds of adolescent young girls across the globe with errors instead of adventures.

It points out how flawed the idea is that we should dismiss the glaring errors in the storyline as being acceptable; and reminds us how important the integrity of "suspension of belief" is within good storytelling. It also reminds us that books and movies are not just meant for young girls... They are always also for their mothers, aunts, and grandmothers, too.

The purpose of "A Different Twilight" blog is to be an opening portal for the expansion of the Twilight Saga Universe at play. It attempts to unite Twilight Movie Fans & Book fans alike; by providing a space to collectively imagine believable and not-so-believable alternative endings for their beloved Twilight Saga characters!
