The Bulgarian Hope Foundation’s Supporters Turn to Innovative Fundraising and Change Lives!

Each time a supporter searches the web or shops online, a donation can be made to The Bulgarian Hope Foundation through GoodSearch.com!

PRLog - Dec. 2, 2011 - LYNCHBURG, Va. -- The Bulgarian Hope Foundation’s supporters are revolutionizing charitable giving – turning their every day actions into ways of bringing hope and new life to orphans and persons with disabilities.

How?  By using GoodSearch.com and GoodShop.com.

GoodShop.com works with more than 3,000 top online retailers including Toys “R” Us, Target, Best Buy, Apple, Sephora, Macy’s, 1-800-Flowers, PetSmart, and Expedia among others.  The shopping experience and prices are the same as going to the retailer directly, but each time people shop at one of these stores via GoodShop, a percentage of what you spend goes back to their favorite charity or school.  An average of 3% gets donated back to The Bulgarian Hope Foundation when its supporters specify the organization as their cause. GoodShop.com also offers over 100,000 money saving coupons and free shipping offers.  So, not only are supporters helping the cause, but they are also saving money!

Similarly, with every search conducted by the nonprofit’s supporters on Yahoo!-powered GoodSearch.com, approximately one penny is donated to The Bulgarian Hope Foundation.  It’s used exactly like any other search engine and the pennies add up quickly for this small non-profit.

This holiday season, The Bulgarian Hope Foundation is raising funds to provide care for a young person with disabilities. Throughout institutions in Bulgaria, those with disabilities suffer from lack of proper treatment, care and attention. Frequently, they live in large, remote institutions, where limited, undertrained staff are unable to provide the specialized care they need. Last year, The Bulgarian Hope Foundation provided appliances and furnishings for new, small group homes that enable residents receive more individualized attention and specialized care.

This year, they intend to fund a one-on-one caregiver for the disadvantaged orphans living in the new homes. The specialist will teach the child how to communicate his/her needs, how to “play” and will ensure that the child receives the special attention he or she needs. They are very excited about the prospect of making such an impact and invite the public to join them in this cause. Visit their website, http://www.bulgarianhope.org, for more information on their cause and how you can get involved.

The GoodSearch and GoodShop team is revolutionizing online philanthropy so that no one is denied the opportunity to support causes, such as The Bulgarian Hope Foundation.  “We have taken simple everyday actions, like searching and shopping, and turned them into ways people can do good with just the click of a mouse,” says Scott Garell, CEO of GoodSearch. “Around the holidays when everyone is thinking ‘how can I give back,’ GoodSearch provides an easy and meaningful way to fund causes most important to them.”
