Elizabeth Perelstein, of School Choice Internation honored at Westchester Magazine luncheon

Dec. 5, 2011 - PRLog -- Elizabeth Perelstein, President and Founder of School Choice International, will be one of 28 women honored at Westchester Magazine's 914Inc. Most Accomplished Women Entrepreneurs luncheon on Thursday, December 8th at the Crowne Plaza in White Plains.

In 1997, the seemingly simple act of choosing her children’s schools in a foreign country overwhelmed Elizabeth Perelstein. Today, School Choice International, the White Plains-based business the Rye resident founded to help parents like herself, is a multi-million-dollar company with 100 consultants in 50 locations around the world.  
In 1997, Liz was suddenly relocated to London because of her husband's job. “I had two children who were in fourth and sixth grades,” she says. She secured good placements for her kids in London and then realized that what she’d figured out about the school-selection process for her own children would be helpful for others. School Choice International took off “by word-of-mouth.” The first client was Morgan Stanley.  Today School Choice works with many of the Fortune 100 and 500 in assisting their relocating families to place their children is schools around the world.  School Choice also assists companies with policies related to educational assistance.

School Choice International's global headquarters is located in White Plains New York, and has regional offices in Seattle, London and Hong Kong.  Recently, School Choice International began offering its expertise beyond the relocation market to families anywhere in the world wanting expertise and guidance in selecting and placing their children in the right schools.

This is not the first time Liz has been honored for her entrepreneurship.  In 2010 Liz was one of 10 women honored at Fortune's Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs, and in 2011, Inc placed School Choice International on its 500/5000 list of Fastest Growing Companies.

At the luncheon Liz will be joined by other highly successful women entrepreneurs such as fashion designer Eileen Fischer and Home Designs Chris Madden who embody the entrepreneurial spirit of passion, risk takers and vision.
