Dec. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- KINGSPORT, Tenn. – KOSBE Client, Kris Kustom Archery introduced yesterday their new full service retail location and indoor archery range located off exit 66 on I-81 at 228 Carolina Pottery Drive, Blountville.

Kris Kustom Archery boasts a 40-yard indoor shooting range complete with lifelike, three dimensional animal targets which are used by the Archery Shooter’s Association (ASA) at reasonable lane fees.

The ASA is host to thousands of amateur and professional events each year and has local chapters in 30 states with over 7,000 members and 250 clubs. Shooters determine the yardage and building skills with each shot executed.

“We started small in 2006 and have grown into a full service archery pro-shop and retail store with hunting and archery equipment,” said owner, April Mumpower. “We cater to traditional and modern-day shooters and have recently become a member of the Archery Trade Association (ATA).”

As authorized Alpine Archery and High Country Bow Dealers, they assured the right bow and accessories are available upon request or can be ordered to personally fit any customer’s needs.

Kris Kustom Archery is owned by Mumpower and operated by Bow Techs with over 30 years of experience. The business is named after Kristopher Cooper who lost his life in a tragic automobile accident at the early age of eleven. His passion for archery is the pure motivation behind Mumpower’s vision to create a family orientated environment in the world of archery.

“Kristopher’s love of archery introduced the idea to build his memory into an opportunity to get others involved in the shooting sport,” Mumpower shared. “Our goal is to personalize each customer with the right equipment and accessories within reach of the average household.”

Personal archery lessons are available by experience shooting staff who were featured on The Outdoors’s Channel Shooting USA at Bryon Ferguson’s Shooting School.

Bryon is well-known for being a trick shooter. The most difficult shot of his career happened in Tokyo when he successfully shot an arrow through a diamond ring with his long bow, without practice.

Hours of operation are Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Open to the public to all ages.
