Dec. 2, 2011 - PRLog -- December 2, 2011—Garden City, New York—New York City has had a busy fall season with several large scale events where the eyes of the world were watching.  Occupy Wall Street became a several months-long protest, while peaceful on most days, did require security planning by many of the larger corporate and banking institutions in the area. “When a CEO calls during a sudden unplanned event such as Occupy Wall Street, our security teams, trained in all levels of law enforcement and managed crowd control, are mobilized right away,” explained William McGuire, President and CEO of Global Elite Group, Inc.  The tactical security teams global provides, caters to each client’s individual needs and is an extra layer of security in addition to any police presence. The company provides not only a manned team of agents for the client, but also positions surveillance technology to enhance the overall safe turnout of the operation.

For a client concerned about becoming a target of the Occupy Wall Street movement, Global received the call within days of the protest and was on site in a few hours. This is typical for Global, with locations throughout the world the company has become known for its ability to provide security staffing and crowd management when and where it is needed. While on location in downtown Manhattan, Global was also part of the product promotion for a new communications product being launched at three sites up-town. “It has been a busy season in New York City. Our specialized protection units have been managing crowds, protecting celebrities, keeping expensive merchandise safe and keeping protesters peaceful, all within a week’s time,” he says.

Large scale attention grabbing world events and corporate promotions each require a specialized review of security issues and lots of experience. Global Elite has provided security to the Olympic Games, the Obama/Biden Presidential Inauguration and other lesser known events, but no less important; protecting healthcare personnel, patients and facilities during hurricanes. Understanding climate, location and how the event is positioned in the scope of how someone could make a statement; are just some of the concerns the company concentrates on with clients.  “Disruptions of any scale must be one of the first concerns. From our command center our team of agents scrutinizes each event and mission to vet out what could go wrong,” McGuire explained. The company will start its work sometimes months in advance or will get just hours notice to understand the environment the event will take place in. “We look at the challenges from all angles. What type of traffic is in the area? Foot traffic and or vehicular traffic? Will there be any safety hazards to consider? We had a recent project which involved a crane and had a large tower erected. We needed to watch weather patterns to make sure a safety hazard from nature was taken into account,” stated Bryan Davis, Director of Sales and Marketing.

Global Elite Group is located throughout the world and has staff in most areas where political tensions are more common. This is done to service the highly specialized needs of government officials and news teams.  Being ready with boots on the ground, Global can deliver very specialized protection from teams who know the terrain and understand the culture.
