Online Barriers have substantial experience within the gate industry supplying and installing security barriers, both residential gates and commercial gates. When they spoke directly with the Defence support services to offer a new bespoke automation system designed to meet the needs of injured service personnel, including wheel chair users. Word soon spread about our involvement, and suppliers offered to help with the new cantilever gate.
In order to achieve an ultra quiet, fast, smooth and safe gate system, a low voltage Centurion operator, and a cantilever rail, were specified. ASO safety buffers were fitted to ensue the gate achieved force testing results within British Standards and European Norms.
Online Barriers completed the gate installation within one day, and handed the system over, including a full safety brief and safe user’s guide to a very happy and pleased Unit Guard Commander.
Steve Brown from Online Barriers commented "Prior to attending Headley Court, we had being looking into how we could offer help to those Service personnel injured in recent conflicts. After seeing at first hand the challenges, these remarkable young people face, it was clear a new gate entry system would provide a long term benefit to DMRC Headley Court."
