Brighton Publishing LLC releases Elysian Dreams by B.J. Neblett

Neblett, the accomplished writer, musician, and poet who has spent his career earning fans by straying just off the beaten path. After brisk sales in eBook, Elysian Dreams is now available for the first time in print at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and bookstores nationwide.

As a musician and disc jockey, B.J. Neblett made a name for himself helping define new sounds of the 70s and 80s. As a writer, his poetry has been anthologized. As a novelist, his readers will continue to be impressed with his debut release, in which Neblett takes a disparate group of individuals on a journey of spiritual and physical need and uproots them in both time and place in search of that which they, and we as readers, need most.

Professor Collin Crowly is a popular teacher of history. His carefree, man- about-town reputation as a confirmed bachelor who appears to have it all has secured him a reputation on campus he rather enjoys. But it is a reputation that belies deeper angst beneath his brash exterior—and one which will soon get him into trouble.

The fateful day young Angelina walks into his classroom, Crowly’s life changes, and without warning he is trapped within the very pages of the history his loves, and loves to teach. Now, he is faced with one too many girlfriends, one too many enemies—and one too many lives to lead.

And here Neblett is just getting warmed up.

Soon, a quartet of lovers is beautifully and craftily constructed through Neblett’s nimble prose, their lives unexpectedly and repeatedly intertwining. Dreams and reality are often a twisted jumble, as when life seems out of control, and for the characters in Neblett’s debut novel, wishes are dangers and the keys to answer-crushing problems are often hidden deep in the past.

B.J. Neblett was born in the heart of south Philadelphia. He first gained national exposure as a writer at the age of 17 with the inclusion of his work in Encounter: An Anthology of Modern Poetry. For thirty years, he was a nationally-known radio personality and favorite club jockey, broadcast and played under name DJ Billy James. Neblett lives today in Seattle, where he is at work on a sequel to Elysian Dreams, a memoir, and a collection of short fiction.
