Dec. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- MILITARY HERO TO PROPOSE “ON ICE” AT ROCKEFELLER CENTER!

New York, N.Y.

This Saturday, December 3, 2011 an historic event will occur in the famous ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center. Brian Rodriguez, a soldier who served two tours in Iraq, felt compelled after the first tour to return to the war zone a second time to help his country and fellow soldiers. His desire to rejoin his peers, the very men whom he had stood shoulder to shoulder with, was based upon his unrivaled patriotism and bravery.

Having cheated death more than once, he survived an attack that didn’t fare as well for his comrades. Though seriously injured, Brian stayed with a friend, shot right beside him, with medics at his side and remained with his friend until the soldier succumbed to his injuries and died.

Upon returning home from his second tour of duty, Brian Rodriguez visited the families of the friends lost and gave solace to their loved ones, reminding them of the honor under which they served and the heroic acts that will live on forever.

The joyful part of this story is that Brian is proposing to his girlfriend, Saturday December third. Rockefeller Center is clearing the ice for them as they will be skating together just prior to their dinner. The music, provided by Rockefeller Center, will be the same song that Brian’s mother and father chose as their wedding song, “The Way You Look Tonight.” Brian’s girlfriend, soon to be his fiancé’ has no idea that Brian will be proposing. Nor does she know that her family members will be watching along with Brian’s family.

Brian’s mother Rose offered Brian the diamond that he took to Michaels Jewelers in Connecticut to be set in a magnificent mounting. The people at Michaels Jewelers are proud to be a small part of this once-in-a-lifetime event and are honored that Brian chose them to place the diamond in one of their unique settings.

This story has a happy ending and the world will be watching, as they skate and become engaged in one of the most romantic settings in the world. The tree, the ice rink, the glamorous surroundings and a hero about to embark on a loving adventure.
