Follow on Google News | Deschutes Brewery will bring its Base Camp for Beer Fanatics to the TrackTown12 fan experienceThe Oregon Track Club and TrackTown USA’s Local Organizing Committee announced Deschutes Brewery as the official craft brewery for the TrackTown12 June 22 to July 1, 2012.
By: SportsOne The Bend, Ore., brewery will also be the title partner of Deschutes Brewery Base Camp for Beer Fanatics, a unique concept neighborhood within TrackTown12 where fans can watch the track and field action on giant screen televisions while enjoying Deschutes Brewery beer and food from the Deschutes Brewery pub menu. Deschutes Brewery beers include Mirror Pond Pale Ale, Black Butte Porter and Inversion IPA. Deschutes Brewery owns and operates two pubs: the Bend Public House and the Portland Public House in the Pearl District. The free, 20-acre TrackTown12 fan experience will take place adjacent to historic Hayward Field, the site of the Trials competition, and is expected to draw more than 25,000 fans during its 10-day run. In addition to the Deschutes Brewery Base Camp for Beer Fanatics, the TrackTown12 fan experience will feature live entertainment and a variety of other activities for fans of all ages. The Olympic Trials competition is the largest national championship track meet in the world and will select the athletes to represent Team USA at the London Olympic Games in 2012.
