Center Sponsors Study on Monetization of Shale Gas Resource in Pennsylvania

Dec. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- The Ben Franklin Shale Gas Innovation & Commercialization Center (SGICC) is sponsoring a multi-client study entitled, "Monetizing Shale Gas:  Benchmarking Gas Utilization and Conversion Options."  A chemical industry consulting firm, ADI Analytics LLC, well-known for its work with Fortune 500 companies, will conduct the study and offer its results to the energy market.

The scope of ADI’s work is to provide independent, cutting-edge market perspectives on shale gas monetization options in North America.  The study's output will:

•   Include an "apples-to-apples" comparison of the technology, costs, and economics related to liquefied natural gas (LNG) and gas-to-liquid technologies (GTL).  
•   Analyze the impact of natural gas vehicles and other transportation options on demand for natural gas.  
•   Address ethane and natural gas liquid (NGL) supplies from various shale gas basins, including Marcellus.
