El Paso Electric Company Selects Origin for Business Intelligence Services

Dec. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Origin, Inc. announced today that El Paso Electric Company (EPE) has hired the Atlanta-based company for Business Intelligence and Customer Care and Billing services.

El Paso Electric is building out its data warehouse and Business Intelligence capabilities using a multi-phased approach – the first of which is focusing on Customer Information Services data.  Origin is providing expert consulting during the development of the data warehouse, as well as aiding EPE in integrating elements of Oracle Utilities Business Intelligence software.

“Origin’s knowledge and expertise of the underlying Customer Care and Billing data structure has provided El Paso Electric Company’s Business Intelligence project team with a streamlined approach for EPE’s development of the Business Intelligence data model,” said Martha Dukes, project manager for the EPE project. “Origin’s approach and willingness to assist the project team have been invaluable.”  

“We are excited to partner with EPE to build a custom data warehouse so that it can extract more useful information and insight from Customer Care and Billing services,” said Jeremy Oosthuizen, Origin’s Business Intelligence practice leader. “Origin will provide design strategies as well as help with integration of Oracle Business Intelligence products.”
