Reaffirms Opsview's commitment as an infrastructure-agnostic enterprise IT monitoring provider
By: Opsview

Dec. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Opsview, the open source enterprise IT monitoring vendor, today announced its continued commitment to promote the development of Opsview Enterprise edition as an infrastructure-agnostic platform by joining the Open Virtualization Alliance (OVA).

Opsview joins founding member RedHat and over 60 other companies including BMC Software, IBM and Intel to foster the adoption of KVM (Kernal-based Virtual Machine) as the industry standard open source virtualization.

"The OVA’s move to a more collaborative governance model shows the strength of the KVM ecosystem and is one of the reasons Opsview is joining the OVA today," said Michael Walton CEO at Opsview. “Opsview and KVM are both examples where choice and openness give real power and flexibility to the customer. Joining the OVA is a clear way to signal that we will continue to work with the widest array of infrastructure platforms to provide the options our users are demanding. We certainly look forward to joining and contributing to the community."
