Magnetic Moon Fairs and Festivals Gives Back to the Community

Dec. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- It was with great pleasure that Kathy Lambert and Michael Davidson,owners of Magnetic Moon Fairs and Festivals was able to donate the proceeds of $1300 from the Effingham Holiday Craft Festival to the Friends of the Effingham library. The donation took place at the library open house, Wednesday, November 30.

The craft show, which had been run by the Friends of the Effingham Library for the past 7 years, was canceled earlier in the year because FEL was not able to put it on this year. "We could not see this happen" says Kathy Lambert co-owner of Magnetic Moon.  "For us, the library is like a second home, and the event was an important one. The show was put on every year to help raise funds for the library that isn't covered under town budget. It was an event that could not be dropped."

When word got to Magnetic Moon Fairs and Festivals, they quickly added it to their already busy line up of juried craft shows. Michael Davidson co-owner said, " We knew it was a short time frame, but that with hard work the show would go on for the benefit of the library."

The money donated will go towards improving the children's room at the library with new flooring, new tables and chairs, and programs for the children.

The craft show, which was held November 26, was a great success. The Effingham Holiday Craft Festival is held every year the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
