Follow on Google News | Santa Hunt! Ted Burns On The CaseI'm Ted Burns. Host of Third Degree Burns. Voted the world's best investigative TV show for five years in a row. By me. And now I'm on the hunt for Santa Claus.
By: David Symington Meet Ted Burns. He's a man. He also presents the long-running TV investigative journalism flop that is Third Degree. More than that: he's a newshound with a major seasonal mission on his mind, in the form of leading the hunt for Father Christmas himself. But instead of looking into the normal December-driven gobbledygook about peace, love and goodwill to all men, Ted is responding to emerging accusations that Santa – a.k.a the Yuletide Yobbo – has been involved in a variety of scandalous incidents, from reindeer neglect and using elves as sporting equipment to running up massive parking fines at a faster pace than mulled wine pours into a festive drifter. This is the subject matter of the first installment of Keen City's Search for Santa, a series of short webisodes that cover Ted's efforts to track down the being he lovingly refers to as "Satan Claus". Cummings, which talks about a place full of pretty people, where everyone is in love and flowers pick themselves. The company is, however, based in London, which falls short of this description in at least a couple of ways. Possibly more. Especially when you’re on the Tube. Nasty business. The company’s first short film, Alleyman, won the British Lion Award for Achievement at the British Independent Film Awards, 2011, and received an honourable mention at this year’s Los Angeles Independent Film Festival. Another short, Darkest Before Dawn, premiered at the Cannes Short Film Corner in May 2011. A project of similar length, The Tyrant’s Cup, is currently in post-production, and Keen City’s first feature film, The Cult, is currently at the financing stage. The Keen City team is also working on a number of exciting television projects. Stay tuned. For more information and general enquiries, please email info@keencity.com or visit www.keencity.com. End
