“We collected a ton of food for the Houston Food Bank; it was a workout just loading up all the food in the truck!” exclaimed Jackobs, owner and Houston fitness expert with Body3 Fitness Center.
Tom Jackobs, author of Get Off Your Butt and Do Something, is a firm believer in giving back to the Houston community. Jackobs claims “With the current plight of the economy, it’s clear that we all really need to stick together and help each other out when we can. We have a really tight-knit group of members and clients and they not only want to change their lives but the lives of others.”
“We torched more than 600 calories during the morning’s workout,” claimed Cassandra Gaudet, training manager at Body3 Fitness and organizer of the workout on Thanksgiving morning. A total of 53 people participated . . . led by five of Houston’s top fitness professionals.
Food will be collected at Body3 Fitness Center (1987 W TC Jester Blvd, Houston, 77008) until December 15. This is the third consecutive year the fitness pros have produced this event and it has grown every year.
