Logan Productions, Inc. Wins the Silver

Milwaukee, WI, Nov. 30, 2011– “History of Horicon – Grain Drills to Gators” won the 2011 Silver Davey Awards in the Film/Video History category, judged annually by the International Academy of Visual Arts (IAVA). The video was produced by Logan Productions, Inc. to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the John Deere Horicon Works facility. The 25 minute video tells the story of how the Van Brunt grain drill factory grew into a modern, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. It’s a story about the people and culture of Horicon, Wisconsin working together towards a better future.

With nearly 4,000 entries from around the world, the Davey Awards honors the finest creative work from the best small firms, agencies and companies.  “We were truly amazed and excited at the overall caliber and quality of this year’s pool of entries,” said Linda Day, executive director of IAVA. Day added, “The Davey Awards serves as a benchmark for recognizing creative excellence and continues to raise the bar in honoring the best work from small agencies and firms worldwide.” Logan Productions, Inc. is a “creative David” within the industry, helping push the limits in creativity and design.

The winning video premiered to thousands of John Deere employees, retirees, friends and family during the Horicon Works 100th Anniversary Celebration on August 27, 2011. “The positive audience response and numerous replay requests were overwhelming,” said Beth Logan, creative director at Logan Productions, Inc. “It was important for this story to be told for the future generations to carry on.”
