Cénacle de La Lumière held an exclusive cheering station on the 1km, 5km and 10km race courses, where it engaged in fun awareness activities and created a positive and energetic atmosphere in support of participating runners.
The station featured an old fire truck, branded and decorated with helium balloons and Go Right® messages: “Go Right®, Say no to drugs”, “You can’t go wrong if you Go Right®”. Cheering to the beat of Batuka parade and 360° DJ, the Go Right® squad, comprising of volunteers, performed group choreographies on Go Right® slogans and songs calling on the youth to “Stay on the right side of life”.
The NGO’s team also invited marathon participants to ‘say it their way’ and paint their own personal messages on the ‘Go Right® 3ala Tarytak’ expression wall, inspiring Lebanese youth to always make the right choices in life free from drugs. Additionally, the station featured a 10m wall displaying ‘Go Right®’ messages, pictures, and slogans designed and created in previous CDLL Youth Program awareness workshops.
Cénacle de La Lumière was one of the main attractions at the BLOM Beirut Marathon 2011.
