Digislide, Spectralus and Syndiant Join To Create Superior Miniature Projection System For Mobiles

Nov. 30, 2011 - PRLog -- This creative trinity is developing a laser based miniature projection system using Digislide’s precision optics and video processing unit, Syndiant’s LCOS display panel and Spectralus’s green laser.  The Digismart Miniature Projection Technologies™, to be demonstrated to manufacturers, industry partners, consumers and the media at CES (Las Vegas) in January, 2012 will be suitable for embedding in mobile phones and other small hand held devices.

Syndiant is a fabless semiconductor company founded in 2004. Its founder, Mr Karl Guttag has over 30 years of work in the digital imaging industry, and is a named inventor on over 135 US patents.

Syndiant has designed, for industry use, light modulating panels for high resolution displays used in ultra-portable projectors small enough to embed in a cell phone.

Among its other LCOS display panels, Syndiant’s VueG8™ is a patented all-digital smart panel technology, enabling the world's smallest personal display devices that uniquely meet cost, power, form-factor and resolution requirements.

Syndiant uses high volume semiconductor manufacturing, VueG8 devices and pixel sizes can be easily scaled to meet the cost, size, and performance needs of pico projectors.  

Digislide’s low cost LED projection systems, and newly designed laser projection systems, based on the Spectralus laser is ideally suited to the Syndiant’s technologies.
