The Professional Clothing Awards, which takes place on April 17 2012 as part of the fifth annual Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show, sponsored by JAL Group, will celebrate the very best of the industry and its people, at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.
Manufacturers, buyers and suppliers in workwear and PPE will be awarded across a range of categories and this exciting new event will combine the show’s prestigious Business Manager Awards with new supplier awards – as well as the SATRA PPE Innovation Awards.
Nominations are still open across the categories which will take in the whole working garment industry – from products, components and materials to full uniforms and processes – and entries will be judged on their practical benefits to the user, the supply chain and the environment.
Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show managing director Yvette Ashby said: “We are very excited about the quality of nominees we expect to see at the award ceremony in April, because we know ourselves just how dedicated the people in our industry are to creating the very best product for the market.

The Professional Clothing Awards will incorporate the Business Manager Awards categories for ‘Business Manager of the Year’ and ‘Best Uniform in Corporate Clothing, Workwear and PPE’. The event will also introduce a number of new awards for suppliers, ranging from ‘Best Fibre and Fabric Innovation’ and ‘Best Website’ to ‘Best Managed Major Contract’ and ‘Best Managed Boutique Contract’.
In addition, to reflect the major growth market of personal protective equipment (PPE), the Professional Clothing Awards will contain the brand new SATRA PPE Innovation awards. These awards will recognise the manufacturers of PPE products, components and processes that push boundaries in technical innovation.
World- leading research and technology organisation (RTO) SATRA is the ideal partner to head up this special section.

Entries will be judged by a panel of independent experts in January 2012 with the winners of the Professional Clothing Awards announced at a spectacular gala dinner and dance at the Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show on 17th April 2012, at the E.ON Lounge in Coventry’s Ricoh Arena.
The winners will be presented with glittering crystal trophies and the overall winner of the SATRA PPE Innovation of the Year will also receive the opportunity to undertake discounted research and product testing at SATRA Technology Centre, or the possibility of creating a partnership to develop a product or products for commercial exploitation.
