New Measurement Equipment Online at AVISO Energy Workshop

Nov. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- AVISO Energy announced today that major upgrades to the experimental measurement and calculation capabilities are online at Ismael Aviso’s development laboratory in Manila, and they are already getting results.

Company spokesman Alec Sherman said that the inventor’s bootstrap development methods, which allowed him to get this far without such equipment, were right in step with the company’s philosophy.  “We never set out to have state of the art facilities,” says Sherman, “or try to compete on a level playing field with well-funded universities and huge energy corporations.  We appreciate that Ismael is exploring in his own direction, on the fringes of what is considered possible.” But he says that the time has come when hard numbers matter and cutting edge equipment has become a necessity.  

“Aviso has been pushing the envelope in multiple fields for years, but he has operated on a tight budget with an emphasis on using inexpensive equipment he could find locally.  So, while he qualitatively knew he was producing groundbreaking energy levels and unheard-of efficiencies, he simply had no way to reliably quantify his results,” says Sherman, “but now that we have reached advanced prototype stage and have interested clients and investors in the wings, it is key that we can report hard numbers to support our claims.”

The technological answer to this need included two high frequency oscilloscopes that interface with PC software and a purpose-built laptop computer to collate and store the experimental data.  The new equipment is running alongside Aviso’s previous measurement equipment, and the first discovery revealed by the new gear was that the lab’s older measurement tools were in need of recalibration.

AVISO Energy sourced all the new equipment in the US before shipping it to the lab in the Philippines.  Each unit was programmed and calibrated before shipment to ensure that the lab could avoid technical hassles and get straight to work.

Ismael plans to spend the week familiarizing himself with the new equipment and using the readings taken from it to optimize certain aspects of his setup.  By the end of the week, the company hopes to have the first technology demo video to feature real-time quantification of the experimental apparatus.  The video will be posted at www.avisoenergy.com, and will provide a preview of the performance that people will witness when AVISO Energy holds its first major public technology demo at UC Berkeley in February.
