Daylesford Provenders gourmet food hampers direct to your door, bringing you a taste of the region

Newly launched hamper company Daylesford Provenders brings together the region’s most outstanding artisan-produced delicacies to create a range of stunning box-hampers, available to order online for delivery across Australia.

Nov. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- A gem in Victoria’s crown, Daylesford is a much-loved spa town, abundant with pure waters and breathtaking scenery just 90 minutes drive from Melbourne’s CBD. For Daylesford Provenders, the main focus is on gourmet treats from the region, with some relaxation delights too - this is Daylesford after all. Stunning box-hampers are filled with goods from producers who champion the region including Alla Wolf-Tasker, Annie Smithers, Tonia Todman, Mount Zero, Lake House and Fontanella Winery, amongst others. Prices range from $25 for a single bottle of Passing Clouds Chardonnay 2009, to $185 for the grand dame of the range, The Daylesford Indulgence Gift Box.

Alla Wolf-Tasker, AM, Owner and Executive Chef of Lake House, Daylesford, was thrilled to contribute produce from her new ‘A Wolf in the Kitchen’ range and stated: “Daylesford Provenders hampers are a very special way to sample some of the best from our region.”

The Daylesford Indulgence Gift Box (RRP $185) features Fontanella Prosecco 2010, Werona Olive Oil, Tonia Todman’s Rose Petal Jelly, ‘A Wolf in the Kitchen’ Roasted Garlic Aioli, Annie Smithers’ Raspberry Jam, The Regimental Condiment Company West Bengal Rifles Mango Chutney, Michel’s of Castlemaine Mixed Berry Cream Biscuits and Call Me Crackers, Mount Zero Dukkah, Beatty’s Cheescuits, Lake House Nougat, Sweet Decadence Chocolates and Chocolate Coated Coffee Beans. Local business ‘Lily Loves Pearl’ inspired The Daylesford Body Kit (RRP $89) with their Vanilla and Honey Intensive Body Cream, which also contains Est Fresh Goats Milk and Honey Chunky Soap, Velvet Lip Balm, an oak bristle brush, a Sisal scrub mitt and a face cloth - perfect for anyone wanting a memory of the area.

Alongside luxury gift boxes and canisters, single gift items such as pure linen branded tea towels, aprons and heat pillows can also be purchased. Business partners Lorraine McGinniss (Leader of the Central Highlands Slow Food Convivium) and Jean Steiner (owner of Peonies & Picnics, the provincial homewares  and antiques shop in Daylesford’s Howe St) share a deep admiration for the producers on their doorstep, and created Daylesford Provenders to enable everyone to enjoy the region’s bounty beyond a visit. Months of tasting their way around the region and meeting producers has led to a considered range of easy-to-order hampers allowing admirers to get a taste of the region delivered, to any address in Australia. Hampers can also be purchased from Peonies and Picnics in Howe St, Daylesford.

“Visitors share our passion for the region and its exquisite produce, yet many couldn’t purchase goods as they were flying interstate. People wanted a memory of their time here, or taste of the region to take home with them for a gift. We were surprised to find no one offering a similar service and now we have the only gift product that’s branded with the Daylesford name,” says Lorraine, of Daylesford Provenders.
