Cinema on the Couch-A Film and Discussion Series on the North Shore

Nov. 28, 2011 - PRLog -- In this film series, the Institute brings together cinema and psychoanalysis.  The artistry of cinema is an ideal medium for illustrating and discussing the deep emotional issues that constitute the life-blood of psychoanalysis.  The Institute selects films with a common thread that also allows exploration of a broad range of issues relevant to our times.  Topics include: intimacy, love, alienattion, family dynamics, coming of age, sexuality and others.  The theme for this season is Time, Place and Reality.

The Film showings followed by discussion take place on Sunday afternoons from 2:00-5:00 P.M.  Each film will be discussed by a different member of the Institute for Psychoanalysis.

Cost:  $20 per film
