Employment 2.0 provided a unique town hall meeting focused on helping one another compete in the ever changing job market. With its strong debut, Employment 2.0 is expected to return for a follow up broadcast in December, after which a weekly time slot will be found.
"I am very proud of the broadcast and the mountain I choose to climb. I have faced job interruption in my career. It was important for me to come up with a unique format. I wanted job candidates to have an opportunity to call in or to record their so-called “elevator pitch” and be heard by a mass audience,” said Steve Benz, Afternoon Personality at WSDI Chicago. "I’ve interviewed a long list of actors and comedians, but I wanted to host a public service program and finally just jumped in with both feet.”
Co-hosted with Silver Professionals President, Ron Goldstein, the debut show offered job candidates a 24/7 hotline to record a personal 60-second commercial. In addition, job candidates and employers were encouraged to dial the studio lines. “My role on Employment 2.0 was to not only provide insight on the changing employment trends, but to offer objective advice to the “Eisenhower and Baby Boomer” job candidates as all of us prepare for the 2012 job market."
“When I tuned into the show, I instantly knew that this show was going to be a big success. Steve and Ron have created a much needed pubic service radio program that puts mass media to work for the job seeker,” Manny Rivera, Senior Marketing Executive.
