Internet Safety Presentaions for your organization

The “Safe and Secure Online” (https://cyberexchange.isc2.org/safe-secure.aspx) initiative from (ISC)2 has been updated to address growing issues of concern, including sexting, social networking and cyber bullying.  Since the program launched four years ago, volunteers, all professionals working in the field of information security, have presented to over 40,000 students aged 11-14 years about responsible computing and Internet safety.  

James Synovec the CIO for Aquila Business Services, LLC volunteers with this program. James resides in the Denver Metro area and would be happy to visit your school or organization. He has been trained and cleared through a national background check. He can provide 2 presentations in one school day to help your students explore practical ways in which they can stay safe, avoid security risks and use the Internet positively.

(ISC)2, to which James is a member as a certified security expert, is a professional body of security specialists responsible for protecting business and personal information assets in major organizations such as banks, charities, law firms, utilities and other corporations.

The presentations are offered free-of-charge to support the objective of teaching responsible computing to children. The presentation itself has been developed by former teachers with input from (ISC)2 security experts and is based on the "Know it all" resources from Childnet International, a UK-based charity that aims to make the Internet a safe place for children, that have been made available to over 10,000 schools across the UK.
