Nov. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- DENVER, CO  — Denver kicks off a multi-cultural holiday celebration with the opening of the Christkindl Market in Skyline Park on Saturday, November 26, at 5pm with festive performances and costumed officials.

A well-known figure at the Christkindlesmarkt in Nuremberg is the Christkind ("The Christ-child", pronounced /krist-kint/), the traditional Christmas gift-bringer in regions of Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as a number of other countries, and is represented by a different young woman every year.

In Denver we recently announced that Ms. Evi Zillmer (photo attached) was chosen as our 2011 Christkindl. She will represent us at several events and will appear during our grand opening ceremony in full festive attire on November 26 at 5pm.

The market’s normal hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday through Wednesday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday through Saturday, with extended hours for the Parade of Lights on December 2 and 3.
