Nov. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- Featuring a mixture of both high level and more in-depth technical presentations, this event is certain to prove highly beneficial to engineers and project managers involved in upgrading the core optical network as 100Gbit Ethernet technology begins to be implemented - with details being given of state of the art equipment and innovative new test/monitoring techniques. It will take place at the Best Western Reading Moat House, Berkshire, UK, on the 26th January.

The agenda for the event is as follows:
•   What is driving the need for next core generation networks?
•   Testing challenges from the physical layer up to the IP layer
•   Testing ROADM networks with 40Gbit/100Gbit Ethernet

“100Gbit Ethernet has huge potential, enabling widespread proliferation of higher bandwidth, video-based applications which are far more compelling to subscribers. Attendees at the upcoming seminar will leave with a greater comprehension of the various test challenges that must be addressed if they are to assure its delivery,” states Philippe Suel, Marketing Director for Livingston Group. “Organising this event shows how both Livingston and JDSU are firmly committed to supporting network operators, their contractors and their technology partners, as they migrate to more advanced optical network infrastructure, so this important step forward in the progression of telecommunications goes ahead without major difficulties arising.”
