Bridgeport Village Announces The Arrival Of The Holiday Express Train

Nov. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- TIGARD, Ore. – Bridgeport Village, Portland’s premier shopping and dining destination, announces the return of The Bridgeport Express solar-operated train, November 25 through December 22, 2011.

The 35-passenger, solar-operated holiday train runs on a 51-volt solar panel mounted to the engine. The trackless passenger train measures 40-feet-long and has four-foot wide cars to accommodate children and adults.

“Shoppers of all ages enjoy riding The Bridgeport Express to their destinations around Bridgeport Village,” said Kiki Hanover, Regional Marketing Director of CenterCal Properties, owners of Bridgeport Village. “The kids can’t wait to hop aboard and ride it to visit Santa’s house in center court.”

The Bridgeport Express operates daily from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 3 – 5 p.m. November 25 through December 22, 2011. The train will run around the perimeter of the 27-acre shopping center and guests can utilize the train as a shuttle from the parking areas, or just for a leisurely ride. Rides are free and available for riders of all ages.

The Beatniks Holiday Concert presented by Audi
Bridgeport Village will host local band, The Beatniks, for the annual Light up the Night holiday concert under the gazebo in center court. During intermission Santa will arrive aboard the Bridgeport Express to light the live, locally grown holiday tree and will be available for photos in his new house, built by the Home Builders Association Professional Remodelers Organization.

Kids and families are invited to join Santa for breakfasts in support of local non-profit organizations. Tickets for Breakfast with Santa are $10 per person and include delicious food, entertainment with Radio Disney, a visit with Santa and lots of fun. Seating is limited.
