Windsong Properties Celebrates Eighth Anniversary at New Clubhouse at Seven Hills

Nov. 23, 2011 - PRLog -- Windsong Properties celebrated its eighth anniversary on Friday, Nov. 18 at the new clubhouse at Windsong at Seven Hills, an award-winning active adult community in Dallas, Ga. Windsong homeowners, vendors and staff attended and were asked to bring a donation for Shepherd’s Rest Ministries, a local family violence crisis center.

Each anniversary, Windsong Properties partners with a local non-profit organization. Shepherd’s Rest Ministries, located in Paulding County, was chosen because of its amazing community assistance. The organization was founded in 1997 by Dr. Kathryn Melton and was the only shelter in the area to serve victims of domestic violence. Since then, Shepherd’s Rest has housed over 2,400 women and children and has purchased facilities for an emergency shelter and a transitional house. The organization also provides a 24-hour crisis line, emergency housing, emergency transportation, legal advocacy, food, clothing, counseling, resource referrals and financial aid to the community-at-large.

“We were able to collect household cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, baby care products and gift cards to Walmart for Shepherd’s Rest, and were happy we could help spread the word about the organization to a whole new group of people.” stated Carrie Roeger, Marketing Manager at Windsong Properties.

Held in the new clubhouse at Windsong at Seven Hills, the event showcased Windsong’s craftsmanship and commitment to its trade partners and homeowners. The 1,800 square foot clubhouse features décor in modern earth tones with touches of grey, a gathering room, catering kitchen and state-of-the-art fitness center. The gathering room has great electronics for movie nights and watching Sunday football. Outside, residents will be able to grill or relax on new outdoor furniture underneath the large covered porches.
