PRLog - Nov. 22, 2011 - WELLINGTON, New Zealand -- Karori Toastmasters club is conducting a high quality speechcraft educational course at the beginning of 2012, starting on the evening of Monday 6th February. It will be held between 7.30pm and 9.30pm each night at the Chapel, 21 Beauchamp street, Karori, Wellington.
The Toastmaster Speechcraft program is designed to teach participants how to speak confidently to a group of people and to learn more about the Toastmasters communication and leadership programs.
People who wish to gain confidence presenting to large audiences and speaking “off the cuff” (without preparation) - will gain a lot from attending a speechcraft course.  During the course, participants will learn how to present at least three prepared speeches, take part in regular impromptu speaking , as well as  introducing and evaluating other speakers.
Experienced Toastmasters also attend the course to act as mentors to participants, assist with evaluations and to demonstrate correct presentation techniques while presenting educational material themselves.  The speechcraft course is a learn-by-doing program that focuses on weekly participation to build the skills necessary for you to become a confident presenter. A typical speechcraft course will run for 6 to 8 weeks and usually has around ten participants to ensure maximum one on one training opportunities.
The course is suitable for anyone over the age of 18 and is ideal for people needing to enhance their presentation techniques for business or community leadership opportunities.  All participants who complete the course receive a certificate of achievement in recognition of their efforts.  Those who register before 10th Dec 2011 receive a significant discount – be in quick!
The speechcraft course uses high quality Toastmaster International educational materials and presentations to ensure effective learning by the participants and to maintain a high standard of learning is achieved. The Karori Toastmasters club will charge a nominal fee which also includes a short term membership to the club after the course completion, so that participants can continue to practice what they have learned.  Check out our Facebook page to learn more about this course and share the information with your Facebook friends.
