Jim Giatas Creates New Website

Nov. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Contemporary Orthodox Christian singer/songwriter, Jim Giatas has created a new website at http://www.jimgiatas.com.  All of Jim's 11 albums are available for sampling and purchase in the MyStore section of the website.  Each song is available individually for 99 cents and each album is available for $9.99.

Jim's website is  very secure for credit card transactions.  The music is managed through Nimbit which is an A.S.C.A.P. approved artist distribution service.  The site itself is hosted by Blue Host which comes highly recommended by Nimbit and other trustworthy reviewers.

Jim was at Woodstock in 1969 and after having explored various “new age” eastern philosophies, as well as Roman Catholicism and Protestant Evangelical and Pentecostal beliefs, Jim has come full circle to embrace the historic Holy Orthodox Christian Church of his youth. “I simply grew tired of running into so many dead ends. I am truly thankful to come home to the actual and historic Christian Church that the Lord Jesus founded. I hope people will find blessings in my music.”

Jim writes, records and plays all of the instruments on his recordings as well as singing all of the vocal parts.  Unlike most music being made today, Jim does not use pitch correction or maximum compression.  "I like all the little - and not so little -imperfections that keep my music human. “  Jim has recorded all of his music in his home recording studio with very modest means.  Jim is an A.S.C.A.P. writer/publisher.

Jim Giatas is an Orthodox Christian singer/ songwriter who proclaims the good news of life in Christ. In these perilous end-times, Jim is blessed with a clear sense of vision as a serious artist who writes and performs songs with uncompromising lyrics firmly based in the Holy Scriptures and in the Holy Tradition of the one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. In this age of confusion, compromise, secularization, and the dulling of our doctrinal acuity, we emphasize apostolic tradition, continuity, and conservatism over a 2,000 year history.

Jim has found the peace of God through repentance in the ancient, undivided, Holy Orthodox Church after years of searching in the Protestant and Roman Catholic churches as well as in "new age" eastern beliefs. He is of the conviction, however unpopular, that the purity of the Gospel message must never be sacrificed for feelings, "spiritual experience" or a desire to become more acceptable to the world.

Jim has taken up the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ to forsake all and fully consecrate himself to leading people to God through Orthodox Christianity as his great and only lifework. The life of Christ richly dwells in him as he ministers in spiritual songs, singing with grace in his heart for the Lord.
