Deaundre Bonds Back in action tells of his most triumphant time

Nov. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- De’Aundre Bonds began acting as a child at the age of 12. Raised in the poverty stricken neighborhood of South Central Los Angeles, De’Aundre envisioned acting as a way to earn money and express his inner feelings.  Starring in movies such as, “Get on the Bus” directed by Spike Lee, “The Wood” alongside with Omar Epps and Sinai Lathan, and “Tales from the Hood” alongside Clarence Thomas, he has proven himself as an all around theatrical thespian.

In 2001 De’Aundre was convicted of manslaughter and served an 11 year prison sentence. Right before his conviction he was offered an opportunity to play in the Oscar nominated movie, “Antoine Fisher”, by prestigious actor Denzel Washington himself.The compelling story of his conviction stemmed from a confrontation involving his aunt’s boyfriend, who was physically abusing her at the time. De’Aundre’s constant message to the media and his fans is to never judge a person for whom they appear to be, but always judge a man by his character, and the person that they have become.

De’Aundre now dedicates his time speaking at various organizations as a teen counselor. Understanding the difficulties of being raised in a single parent home and not knowing where your next meal is coming from, he spreads a message of using determination and ambition to inspire the youth to overcome any obstacles they may face in life.  

De’Aundre is slated to star in an upcoming crime drama film titled “Gangster Squad”. This film is directed by Ruben Fleischer, and written by Will Beall. Bonds stars in the film alongside, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Sean Penn, and Josh Brolin.  The film is set to be released on October 19, 2012 by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Not only is De’Aundre an established actor he also recently released a rap single titled “L.A. Gears” which is currently climbing up the ITunes charts.



When speaking about his music career De’Aundre is quoted as saying, ” I’ve always had music in me, it’s another way to express one’s self. My fans respect me because I take risk and I’m a true artist”.
