Whole Music Welcomes New Teacher, Peter Cicco, Jazz Specialist

Amesbury, MA, Nov. 22, 2011 – Whole Music is pleased to welcome Peter Cicco as the newest member of its teaching staff.

Peter Cicco, an accomplished guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, will be available for private guitar, bass, voice and piano lessons at Whole Music starting in December. He will soon be hosting adult and kids Jamshops™ ensembles.

Cicco has been a private music instructor for more than 25 years, teaching a wide variety of musical styles with an emphasis on rhythm, and has led student ensembles in Jazz, Rock, Funk, R&B and Latin music. He has a wealth of musical education having studied jazz, classical, and popular music in the Boston area, at Boston University, The New England Conservatory, and most notably has studied jazz improvisation and composition with Charlie Banacos. He teaches guitar at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA, and has been an ensemble instructor at the John Payne Music Center in Brookline, MA, since 1990.

“Peter is an engaged teacher, consummate professional and a brilliant jazz interpreter. We are thrilled to have him join the Whole Music team,” said E.J. Ouellette, Creative Director and Whole Music Co-Owner.

A resident of Dracut, Cicco has been a working professional musician in original and general business bands, jazz duos and swing orchestras for more than thirty years. He lived and studied in San Francisco where he was also on the staff of the Keystone Korner jazz club. Currently he performs with the Rhode Island-based club band Triad. He has also sung on commercial radio and television spots that have aired nationally.
