This brand new mobile follows in the footsteps of the successful original, the Orange San Francisco, which was released before Christmas last year.
The San Francisco 2 follows the mould in terms of size and weight, being almost identical to the original model. The San Fran 2 is marginally skinnier, at 10.6mm in width, and so will feel that little bit better in your hand. Otherwise, the screen size remains the same, at an ample 3.5 inches across the diagonal.
There end the similarities, for Orange have worked hard to pump the San Francisco 2 full of more impressive smartphone features to make the San Francisco 2 really shine. You'll find a good 800 MHz processor obnboard, with enough power to run games, apps and web browsers smoothly. For a budget smartphone, this processor is pretty good going, and will leave you feeling happy with the smooth way that you can navigate around the San Francisco 2.
Like many pricier models, the San Fran 2 allows to to make video calls using the forwards facing camera mounted on the front of the phone. You can use Skype over your internet connection so that your friends will be able to see you, and of course you can see them as well as hear them. The rear camera is a cool 5MP, so photographs will look excellent on the San Fran 2 too!
Not only is the hardware top notch, but the software on the San Francisco 2 is also something to shout about. It runs on Android 2.3, or Gingerbread, meaning it can offer you access to almost every time of app and game the Android Market has to offer.
Orange have also added some great software features to the San Fran 2. We're talking Signal Boost and HD Voice, two fantastic features that are currently only available on Orange phones. Signal boost allows you to use your Wi-Fi connection to boost the signal strength for voice calls and texts. This means that you'll never miss an important call again - you can boost your signal in your home to make sure you stay in touch all the time.
HD Voice is equally impressive technology. It gives you clearer calls to landlines and other HD Voice-enabled phones. You wont be struggling to hear when calling in a busy street or platform: instead, enjoy a crystal clear sound with no distortion.
All in all, the new Orange San Francisco 2 is an impressive piece of technology, in terms of both hardware and software. Find out more about the San Francisco 2 here: http://www.store-
