Jewelmer Meets Demand For Golden Philippine South Sea Pearls At Hong Kong Jewellery And Gem Fair

Jewelmer presented its golden Philippine South Sea pearls & fine jewellery at the enormously successful 2011 September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair from Sept. 19 to 25. The 2011 show was at two venues & opened with a record number of visitors.

Nov. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- The Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair was first launched in 1983, and grew to be the world’s biggest jewellery show with over 200 exhibitors this year.  It is an excellent trade hub; connecting buyers, trade manufacturers, suppliers, and wholesalers from over 150 countries.  The 2011 incarnation is the largest to date, with the most expansive floor space and highest number of visiting trade professionals.  It was a prime opportunity for companies like Jewelmer, who has been a top exhibitor for many years.

Over 36,000 international buyers flocked to the massive jewellery show, attended overwhelmingly by visitors from China and Hong Kong, as well as visitors from countries such as India, The United States, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines

This year, Jewelmer was chosen by Jewellery News Asia as one of the show’s most exceptional booths.  The display included three striking models wearing the brand’s newest pieces juxtaposed with a perfectly matched, unfinished strand of extraordinary golden Philippine South Sea Pearls – six years in the making – demonstrating the difficulty of matching pearls to detail.  The booth’s centerpiece was the one-in-a-million 18.7mm golden Philippine South Sea pearl, a rare and vastly impressive gift from nature.  

Accompanying several lots of high quality golden Philippine South Sea pearls were Jewelmer’s collections: Giverny, Rosone, and Margherita.  While most pearling companies begin business in production, Jewelmer has its roots in creating fine South Sea pearl jewellery.  The collections were a particular favorite among the Mainland Chinese, a fast-emerging and dominant market for the golden living gems. .  “There was a reported 30% increase in the price of golden Philippine South Sea pearls,” says Jewelmer’s Pierre Fallourd.  “We were pleased with a constant flow of clients asking for the availability of our pearls and reacting very positively to our advertising campaign.”
