Although the founder, Sandy Bell, worked with some of the best perfumers in the country to develop the line, Munnerlyn, Inc.’s philosophy is not solely centered on selling fragrances. At the rollout event, the newly launched perfumes: Angels of Dallas, Bella Capri, Celestine Veil, Arigato, Coquine Contessa and Midnight Carousel along with the home fragrance line were sampled and evaluated by attendees, who gave rave reviews.
Angels of Dallas pays homage to the beautiful women of Munnerlyn’s home city. Opening with bright berries, this avant-garde eau de parfum evolves with a rose, jasmine and freesia heart that softens the way to a powdery woody-amber dry down.
“We really wanted to create a fragrance that would celebrate the sexy, sophisticated and sweet-hearted women of Dallas, as well as those all over the world,” Bell said. “Of course, it doesn’t matter where you live — where you are is your platform to be the angel of your intentions.”
Bella Capri is a wonderful citrus floral, reminiscent of the beautiful Island of Capri in Italy. This fragrance was inspired by the Italian phrase “dolce far niente,” meaning the sweetness of doing nothing. Munnerlyn’s intention for Bella Capri is for any moment to become a fresh new beginning.
Celestine Veil is soft, elegant and full of wonder. The fragrance has sheer citrus sparkles on the opening as gems of rose, jasmine, sandalwood and patchouli surface throughout the dry down. It was designed with the intention of bringing the wearer the joy of innocent expectancy, hope and wonder that comes when pondering a future of celestial possibilities.
With an immaculate dry down, Arigato offers a delicate balance of spice and floral bouquet. The top notes begin boldly with the spiciness of cardamom and anise, drying down with softness and warm femininity through the heart and base of ylang, rose, layers of warm musk, vanilla and amber.
“Arigato is the phonetic spelling for the word meaning ‘thank you’ in Japanese,” Bell said. “With this fragrance we send an intention that the wearers will truly feel the blessings in their lives, as true gratefulness is close to heaven on earth.”
Unapologetically sexy, Coquine Contessa is mischievous and playful with notes of tangerine, hints of fresh green notes, tea leaves, sheer jasmine, patchouli, vanilla and a touch of spice. Coquine Contessa’s intention is that circumstances will align to nurture one’s sexy inner diva.
Midnight Carousel is an urban mélange with a crisp green accord top accord, a floral heart with a touch of raspberry, and a base of sandalwood, patchouli, vanilla and sheer wood. Bell’s intention with this fragrance is that the wearer will embrace their authentic self and live life on their own terms.
Munnerlyn also released a diverse collection of fine aromatic candles, with citrus fragrances like Bali Bungalow, fresh, relaxing fragrances like Peace Prize and delectable food fragrances like Tarte Aux Bleuets Pour Deux and Crème Obsession. All the candles are handcrafted and triple-scented.
Sandy Bell is a three time entrepreneur, responsible for creating a matchmaking company that she sold to It’s Just Lunch. She then founded S. Bell, Inc., a public relations firm that has served clients for more than 15 years.
