First time in the U.S. “Hands on Live Surgery on Patients” - Mongalo Dental Institute

Nov. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- This amazing seminar is taking place at the Georgia Health Sciences University (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department).

This $112 million dollar medical building will house the the finest state of the art operatory’s and equipment dental schools have yet to see.
Unique opportunity to participate on a course in the United States where all US and Canadian doctors will be allowed to work on pre-selected patients.

Day 1 and day 2
Understanding basic implant principles (treatment planning, surgical and restorative)
Identifying anatomical landmarks and understanding surgical safety zones

Review of Ct-scan and 3D head and neck anatomy
Workshop: all patients treatment plans will be review: ct-scan, 3D images and virtual planning performed
Workshop: fabrication of model based surgical guides and utilization of Implant positioning device

Day 3 and day 4
8am-10am Instructors will review each patient’s treatment plan that will be operated on that day
10am-1pm Twelve simultaneous surgeries on selected patients.
Each doctor will have three hours
to complete the proposed procedure

1pm-2pm Lunch
2pm-5pm Twelve simultaneous surgeries.

Two doctors per room and one instructor per room.
All surgeries supervised by US board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeons and implant surgeons
5pm-7pm Attending doctors will present pre and post op photos and x-rays of cases performed
