Nov. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Querencia at Barton Creek senior living community recently hosted a day filled with events to honor those veteran residents who gave their time and risked their lives so many years ago.  The festivities began mid-afternoon when Querencia residents and guests were treated to a special presentation by Brigadier General Robert J. Bodisch, Commanding General, Texas Maritime Regiment for the Texas State Guard.  Following the presentation, residents were treated to a USO dinner dance with entertainment provided by The Studebakers, who played all of the war time favorites from the era.

“Veterans Day is always a special time of year here at Querencia,” said Leslie Dominguez, director of sales and marketing at Querencia at Barton Creek.  “We have so many wonderful and amazing veterans that call Querencia home, and each year it is inspiring to hear their stories.  The presentation was great and the residents really enjoyed the dinner dance.”
