NARPRO Shops Across Phoenix Collect Items for US Service Members Overseas

Nov. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- (Phoenix, AZ) -  From November 21, 2011 – December 9, 2011 each of the 29 valley NARPRO locations will be collecting essential items for the Phoenix-based non-profit group Packages From Home.

“We are grateful to all the service members who sacrifice daily for our freedoms, especially during the holiday season when they are away from loved ones,” said, Jay Jennings, General Manager of NARPRO.  “Many of our shop owners, employees and customers have friends and family serving our great country and we want to make sure they know how much we appreciate them.  Partnering with Packages From Home is a great way to do that.”  

Packages From Home is looking for items like:
•   Pre sweetened powdered drink mixes such as Crystal Lite or KoolAid
•   Hot chocolate mix in single serve packets
•   Coffee, ground and vacuum packed
•   Beef jerky in individual servings
•   Foot powder
•   Eye drops
•   Lip balm like Chapstick
•   Stick deodorant
•   Hand sanitizer

Packages From Home is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that sends care and comfort packages to deployed US military service members who are stationed in active duty locations around the world.  Established in 2004, this organization sends between 1,000 and 1,500 care packages to troops overseas each month.
