Films from two Southeast Asian Film Festivals travel to North America for the first time, kicking off a new travelling festival component

CAMBOFEST, Cambodia (http://www.cambofest.com) – established in 2550/2007, CamboFest is the first internationally recognized film festival in Cambodia since the end of the Khmer Rouge regime – over 250 filmmakers have participated in CamboFest to date.

BANGKOK INDIEFEST (http://www.bangkokfest.com) – Bangkok’s newest indie film festival, a CNN Go Asia Pick, from the filmmaking hub of Southeast Asia.

NewFilmmakers NY hosts the December 6th event at the legendary Anthology Film Archives, an international center for the preservation, study, and exhibition of film and video founded in 1969 by Jonas Mekas, Jerome Hill, P. Adams Sitney, Peter Kubelka, and Stan Brakhage.
