‘KIDS on RAMP-age’
Rock Again To Realize Their Untapped Talent!
(A Walk on the Ramp- An Enthralling Event for a Cause)
New Delhi, November 21st November, 2011: Navjyoti India Foundation, like the previous year organized “Kids on Ramp-age”, a gripping event to provide an exclusive opportunity to more than 120 beneficiaries in the age group of 4-20 years to walk the ramp. The show this year was arranged by the exclusive collections of four designers. There were 50 special invitees and hundreds of people came to witness the spectacular event and show their support towards the cause, where the children were the BIG celebrities for the night!
The children of under-served communities walked on the ramp with icons of the corporate world to draw attention towards their untapped talent and the need for equal opportunities in terms of quality education, better standards of living and vocational training.
Navjyoti India Foundation, founded by Dr. Kiran Bedi over two decades ago, provides education to the children in urban slums of Delhi and in the rural areas of Haryana.
Chief Guest, Mr. Poldej Worachat, Minister and DCM said, “It’s my privilege and honor to be associated with such a noble cause of Navjyoti India Foundation. The success of Navjyoti India Foundation initiatives is because of its sincere, honest approach taken over the last 2 decades to provide meaningful life to under-served communities.”
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kiran Bedi said, “We in Navjyoti and India Vision Foundation are constantly in search to create opportunities available to under-served communities. The ramp walk by children is an effort on our part to empower young under-served children showcase their talent and realize their untapped potential. I am very grateful to all our supporters and especially the four designers for providing outfits to enable our children have a joyous experience.”

About Navjyoti India Foundation:
Navjyoti India Foundation is the brain child of Dr. Kiran Bedi and has been working with underserved communities ever since its inception in 1987. Presently, the organization works in Resettlement Colonies of North West Part of Delhi namely Bawana and Jahangirpuri, and an urbanized rural area called Karala and Villages in Gurgaon district, Sohna Block, Haryana.
Education, Women Empowerment and Vocational Training has been the primary areas of intervention by the organization in these communities. Besides, health care, environment interventions and community participation are also run for promoting integrated community development services.
